Creating my Film Poster

I began creating my film poster by taking the raw picture of matt and carefully using the blur tool to blur out the gun, which was clearly visible before I brushed it out, as well as the magic eraser tool to get rid of most of the back ground and then the normal eraser tool for the rest.

Next was the title. I used the FX tool to create the effects for the “Chasing the Dragon”. I wanted the title to look bold, exciting but not too exciting. I wanted to maintain an element of grittiness to the title so I used plain colours for the font.

I then created my name at the top of the poster by using the rendering tool under filter, and using the lens flare tool to create the light effect

I added the date and tagline with a colour scheme in mind. I wanted to have a red colour scheme to suit the mood of the film

I had to experiment with a number of fonts before I could find the right one for my list of studios, distributers and actors at the bottom of the poster, but eventually I found a font I thought was perfect for the task.

I added in the film reviews from different critics that I'd use as marketing on the poster, but decided to tone it down slightly as it seemed as if it could be too much for the casual viewer to read when looking at the poster.
